I love it when someone puts into words what I have been thinking. I love it even more when they provide the clarity that I was struggling to achieve in my own thoughts.
Josh article discusses the fact that “Accessibility has a cost”. So on that note I would also like to mention React A11y. Tools such as this can help you identify the low hanging fruit. You can make business decisions on how far down the a11y rabbit hole you go and discover that it doesn't have to be all or nothing. As with many things starting can be the hardest part so anything that reduces cost of entry is a massive win.
